Day 1(1 N 3-star hotel) (Meals included: L, D)
Morning arrival at Buenos Aires. Transfer to your hotel. Free day. Option: City tour and Tango show.

Day 2(1 N 3-star hotel) (Meals included: B, L, D)
Transfer from airport to San Carlos de Bariloche city. Lodging at the cozy 3-star Hotel Huemul by the Nahuel Huapi Lake, near the town center. In the afternoon, there will be a meeting where all the necessary information on the trip will be given.

Day 3(1N Camp) (B, BL, D)
Leaving the hotel early we drive one hour alongside the beautiful Limay River (NE of Bariloche city) up to the enchanting valley of Cullín Manzano (Old Apple) and to our horses there. While they are being packed, try a warm “mate” (Argentinian tea) and chat with the local people. We set off westwards following the Cullín Manzano River upstream, passing by some old farms. Some years ago a huge lake was formed on the river due to a landslide and left a beautiful big beach. We have a nice lunch there before continuing up the mountain to the small Verde Lake where we set up camp for our first night in the wilderness.


Day 4, 5 (2N Camp) (B, BL,D)
After a good sturdy breakfast we pack up and head westwards up to the snowy Saiheque Mountain (2193 m above sea level). When reaching the snow you will enjoy a great view of the valley we have just come through. Time for a snack. Back on the track a different path takes us into García valley. A charming little river flows through and we set up night camp on the riverside. The following day we head South climbing up to the hut of Pavon (1600 m), a refuge where we leave our camping stuff. From here we go up to the summit of Mount Pavon where we discover the marvelous view of the Nahuel Huapi Lake and The Andes sliding into Chile. Riding down we pass through a thousand-year-old Lenga forest (lenga: a native tree that only grows at high altitudes). As this is a National Park we are very likely to spot some red deer and grey foxes on our way.

Day 6(1N Camp) (B, BL, D)
The silence of the high mountains awakes us. It is very peaceful. We pack our horses and follow the edge of the Cerro Colorado (mountain) eastwards. Lunchbox at Mallín de Ovejas, a green grazing spot for sheep. A good siesta is welcomed before setting off for the Gutiérrez River from where, on clear days, we can admire famous Tronador Glacier. Another mountain hut will be our shelter for the night.

Day 7(1N Camp) (B, BL, D)
We ride up the mountain to the Great Plain where we seem to be riding the sky. At the end of the plain we get close to Torre Colorado, an unique geological rock formation. This is the nesting site of many condors (3 m wingspan) that can be frequently seen flying around. It is hard to leave this bewitching place, but by dusk we should be going down to the Elise refuge to warm up by the sparkling fire.

Day 8(1N 3-star Hotel) (B, BL)
We head back down to the valley at an easy gait. Passing by the little Pedregoso River we reach an abandoned hut where it is said an inhabitant over a 100 years old used to live. We reach base in the afternoon and have a nice time sharing our anecdotes with the local family before heading back to Bariloche where city life welcomes us again. The night is spent at the hotel.

Day 9(1N 3-star Hotel) (B, BL)
After a nice breakfast in your hotel we pick you up and bring you to the airport. Flight to Buenos Aires. Transfer from airport. Free evening.

Day 10
Transfer Airport. End of services.
